My name is Augustine (Austin) Okoye, the founder of SaBiCoach. I grew up in the Middlebelt part of Nigeria, Abuja, where I played soccer my entire life. Skidmore College recruited me to play on the Mens soccer team. Out of 15,000 participants in the tryouts in Nigeria, I was 1 of 11 selected and was offered a scholarship. I am a graduate of the class of 2018 at Skidmore College and I am currently part of the coaching staff of the Skidmore Mens soccer team, head coach of Saratoga-Wilton Soccer Club, and work at Rockefeller Capital Management. Why SaBiCoach? Club teams typically practice 1 to 3 times per week and the coaches rarely work on individual skills which are vital for each athlete to flourish at an elite level. Consistent practice is imperative for athletes to develop skills, and especially so for those aspiring to develop their skills to perform at an elite level. I was able to be the best I can be due to one-on-one training ( See the link below for my achievements). Currently, there is no affordable and easy-to-use platform that connects coaches with athletes for one-on-one training. I founded SaBiCoach to fill the market gap for a community of elite athletic mentorship. I present to you SaBiCoach, a platform that is designed to connect experienced coaches with young athletes for personalized, one-on-one coaching sessions to build and develop their individual skills. This platform will enable families and athletes to hire a coach at an affordable rate in real-time on their personal electronic devices. In addition, this platform will enable aspiring young athletes of all sports and backgrounds to connect with local coaches.
